The poor girl is writhing on the floor, sticking her goods out to anyone who pets her back, and crying VERY loudly to get out into the world to see boys.

Her spay appointment is June 2.

If anyone has suggestions for helping her be more comfortable I would appreciate your advice. Anyone who suggests that we put her in a room with a boy cat or rape her with a Q-tip? Don’t bother leaving a comment. Thanks.

Which is it, and why?

A. I have been eating ice cream since I was a kid.
B. I have been eating ice cream since I’m a kid.

Let’s discuss

One of the guys at work who half the time bullshits me and half the time is dead serious (all in the same tone) told everyone that one of his buddies that works for Glock said that sales have tripled since the day that Barack Obama was elected our 44th president. I’d like to present some theories on why and have you tell me which is the truth:

1. People see the end of times because the icon of a mature-in-age white man will no longer be our leader.
2. We’re sticking it to Palin who thought she’d win on cuteness and her support for every citizen arming him or herself to the hilt.
3. We all received a memo that one way to stimulate the economy was to buy guns so we did. (Mine must be trapped in my spam filter.)
4. People fear rioting.
5. It’s a fucking coincidence.
6. It’s not even true.

So, what do you think? I couldn’t come to a logical conclusion on that without researching, but since November 4 was only 8 days ago I’m not sure how much there is to research. How can they even tell that sales have tripled in 8 days? They must have a great system for tracking their sales and great people to analyze the data.

On completely different notes:

HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY, BIG BROTHER! Wish I was there, but glad I got to see you for the 110th party this summer.

There is a new Cereal Wednesday this week filmed during Neverwas weekend with special guest Mikey/LeSombre! w00t!

PS: For those of you who didn’t see it in the feed reader, the other day when I yanked my post (not because Adam or Jess told me to, but because I felt like I shouldn’t post it until Adam did) I had linked to this picture minus the border and the text I wrote in that post was:

Christine/PocketCT brings Poppy’s Princess Leia’s demise, perhaps as justice for that stormtrooper she killed with her bare hands? [Cropped to fit the blog.]

Jess took this picture at Neverwas. She is a friend of Adam, and because I’m not sure how “out there” she is with her identity I won’t say more than that or link you to her photos. She is a mad amazing, mad cool person. It’s funny when you don’t realize what incredible people are just around the corner, hidden in shadows… or behind the camera.”

Rest of the party set is at flickr.

I’m lazy, so I’m making you type a comment answer instead of having you click a radio button or checkbox.

If your landlord called you at work to tell you that people were coming to see your apartment tonight at 6:30pm and tomorrow at 5:30pm what activity would you do to keep yourself occupied?

A. Stay late at work and do nothing.
B. Go out to dinner.
C. Waste $4+/gallon of gas and drive around aimlessly.
D. Go home, sit in your chair, glare at people who walk through.
E. Invite yourself over to a relative or friend’s house.
F. Go grocery shopping even though you only need 2 things.
G. Sit in your car and sob. (I’m a comedian, I have no desire to sob.)
H. Make phone calls to people who are busy and just sit there not talking but making them stay on the phone with you for your amusement. (Wow, this sounds like my everyday.)
I. SUPER SECRET MYSTERY AGENDA ITEM. (As in, “other”; define “other”.)

Dawg and I are running a lunchtime breakfast poll. Please be so kind as to go answer the poll if you’re a Cereal Wednesday fan. If not… um, why not?

Also, Dawg is running his own poll where he asks how you spell out the wookie sound in text form if you’d care to answer that as well. :grins:

To Lactagen or not to Lactagen (that is my question)

So, I’ve alluded to it a bit here in comments and then in a post somewhere, I think, but I’ve developed an actual lactose intolerance.

Me. The person who eats dairy for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and elevensies.

This makes me very sad because it’s getting worse and worse so I really need to make conscious efforts not to eat dairy. Sure, I sneak some in here and there (read: every freaking day) but I can no longer just sit down with a block of cheddar and eat the whole thing.

Karl assures me that this product called Lactagen will actually restore me to full lactose tolerance if I’m willing to give it the old college try.

I’m considering it. But I’m wondering if I might not actually remain healthier without so much dairy in my life, so I’m hesitant to try it. Fence sitting on this issue. Do I get the memorial tattoo…

…which would be really awesome, or do I just “fix” myself by letting my micro-flora be reconditioned?

I was going to head to the movies tonight, but now I have the GHIII itch after hearing that Yoshi pulled a 102k on the DragonForce song. Hmmmmmm…

21 with a nice, big tub of buttery popcorn and a fountain soda Coke Pepsi or kitty time, GHIII, yummy chocolate, and my wonderful new mattress?

(BTW, I got a new fluffy-but-not-too-soft futon mattress this past weekend. It’s fucking fantastic. … Huh, that’s a double entendre.)

I don’t like to eat fish.

I was watching TheBabyEaters sing about how they failed to entertain me (which, no, they didn’t fail) and remembered that I had a dream this weekend about someone holding out a tray of dead but glistening goldfish and telling me to scoop some up and put them in a fishbowl and I kept thinking to myself, “well, that’s not going to bring them back to life, but ok” so I did. And of course they didn’t come back to life.

What-that-mean? Nothing? I am pretty sure I had this dream while under the influence of Advil PM, if that helps.

The title of this post is just a proclamation: I’m not into fish at all. I like them in tanks, but I don’t like to eat them.

I need your help, as usual.

I know I’ve asked before, but … really, seriously, it’s the dilemma of every winter. Where do you shop for clothes? Do you shop online or do you actually go into the store?

Keep in mind that I still adhere to prices from 1983. If anything costs more than $20 I balk. BALK.

And how the hell do I get all this sparkly shit off me? (Totally unrelated.)
