The verdict is in: I am not, in fact, a New Kids fan but that really does not matter

I had a great time last night but that was more because:
. Robin got to see Ripley, and Ripley instantly fell in love with her (I have a picture)
. Robin and I then travelled to NJ and checked out the venue then headed to find food
…. Lone Star steakhouse is nowhere to be found
…. TGI Fridays has a permanent “I’m on fire!” look and a line an hour long
…. Bertucci’s it is! Great bread and olive oil, Caesar salad, filet mignon, and red mashed potatoes (and a good Stella, but they’re all good)
. We then headed to the venue where:
…. Robin and I convinced ourselves that VIP parking was where we felt like parking, so we snuck in
…. It was a torential downpour so we got drenched going from her vehicle to our covered seats (I have a picture of my wet pants)
…. We caught JESSE McCARTNEY’S NEW SUMMER HIT SINGLE, BODY LANGUAGE!!!! WITH SUCH GEM LYRICS AS “I DON’T SPEAK SPANISH”. (“wounded animal” is my description of the sounds coming from that boy’s mouth, and yet I still just bought the song from iTunes [*shrug*])
…. We sat next to a lovely diehard screaming NKOTB fan and her wingwoman who knew as many songs as I did (effectively, we were sitting next to two people exactly like ourselves)
…. These old guys got up on stage and sang a bunch of songs I don’t know and danced and were REALLY happy and everyone screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeamed and I just kept laughing and Robin had such a great time and the chick on the other side of me bawled when Donnie came near us in the crowd and her wingwoman and I just kept shrugging at each other and laughing as good wingwomen are supposed to do
…. There was no line for the bathroom after the show…??????!!!????
…. We had a little trouble finding the vehicle after the show because we had parked so close we got confused that it was farther away than we thought (we were, like, in row 1 of the lot but we went to 3 and it was dark)
. Robin drove me home then I crashed and burned after a quick call to Dawg who was still at boxing :)

It will take over an hour to offload all the photos and video from my camera, since I basically video’d most of the show, and we’re off to NJ to see Up with The Wolves, so I’ll put those up later tonight, tomorrow, or in the week.
