  1. A
    What Sybil said.

    Expand out B.
“I have been eating ice cream since I am a kid.” Makes no sense, see? Unless you are a kid.

  2. Mikey, write it out in French.

I think Cultured Wannabes say it how European languages are constructed. And they sound stupid.

Most recently noticed on The Real Housewives of NY Reunion.

(It is soooo good to have my old phone back so I can type again!)

  3. “Je mange de la crème glacée depuis que j’étais petit”

But I see what you mean, because I could totally see some people say:

“Je mange de la crème glacée depuis que je suis enfant”.

But to me that sounds like you’re still a kid.

I like ice cream. Piccolo Grande over lunch!

  4. A. I am a kid would of course imply that you have managed to move time backwards and that we will all be thousands of years older than you by the time you get back to us.

  5. A is gramatically correct.

B could be, if there were a properly-placed comma.

“I have been eating ice cream, since I’m a kid.”

  6. And apparently gramatically should be grammatically. Fingers ahead of braims. Surry!

  7. When I first read “comma” I read it as “coma” which fit in nicely with the general Zombie Theme.

  8. It’s A. And as a two-time Poppy Awards winner for best grammar and spelling blog, I don’t need to provide an explanation. ;-)

  9. Obviously, as everyone has said, it’s A. B could only apply if the speaker is currently a child. Or possibly a child trapped in Tom Hanks’s body.

  10. Both are true, and the answer to “why” is that you like ice cream. My favorite is banana pudding flavored. What’s yours? I like big spoons. One time I had a big spoon and I ate all the ice creamm all at once and I got a big headache and Billy said my head would explode if that happened but Suzie said ignore him because he’s a big doodyhead. Or is it he *was* a big doodyhead?
