Winter wonderland of what I did instead of be in Vermont

More happened than what the video and photos say, but I think you’ll be happy with this much.

Christmas lights in Middle Village
We saw lights in Middle Village.

Poppy and Mama Dawg
Mama Dawg and I posed in silly hats.

Dawg and Yin
Dawg posed for the camera while SoCo/Yin wanted to go leap on…

KitKat!!
KitKat!

Poppy, Yin, and Yang
I stretched out on the couch so the kittens would lie down in my lap… and they did!

Presents in a laundry basket
We wrapped presents and put them in a laundry basket…

Yang hiding behind Santa
…while CoCo/Yang watched from behind Santa.

Then we went to see Christmas lights at Pitkin Avenue. In case you didn’t hear what I whispered, I SAID: “it’s fucking cold.” :grins:

  1. I used to visit that house every year since I was a wee lass… in fact I passed that house everyday on the way to work (used to live in Richmond Hill till July). I just wanted to thank you for posting pics of that house… I was always amazed by the village in the garage with the little stream going thru it. I live in NC now and have been homesick because of the holidays. Thanks Poppy!!! You helped bring ‘home’ to a girl 535 miles away! Merry Xmas!

  2. Nice lights. I like the laundry-basket-gift tradition … it cuts down on the mess of having to put up a tree. :)

It’s been f*cking cold here too. The high today is going to be 13F.

  3. So adorable! I’m glad you had a good weekend even if it wasn’t what you had planned—life is funny like that.

We are going to ride around and look at lights tomorrow.

  4. Doesn’t sound like too bad of a trade off. Look how cute you all are… Poppy, Dawg, Mama Dawg and the kittehs. I want to squeeze all of you!

  5. ok, momma dawg is adorable.

and that last photo of you and dawg is frame worthy. just christmas perfect!

it is brrr chilly (10 degrees) here in the burgh and we don’t have a flake of snow. driving me crazy and negatively impacting my christmas mood. love that you guys have such pretty snow.

    merry christmas.

  6. Too bad you didn’t get to go to Vermont. I’m glad you had a wonderful weekend anyway. It was 9 degrees in Tennessee this morning. Where is global warming when you need it?

  7. SO beautiful!! I wish I was there with you! And you have snow too. We’re going to have a rainy Christmas here….bleh. Merry Christmas to you and Dawg! *hug*
