The other day I was trying to explain to Pudding* why I blog. She kept asking me if it was so I could complain and people could subscribe to my complaints. Being the introspective person that I am, I couldn’t just say, “no, of course not!” then explain in clear and concise words why I blog… cuz I don’t actually know why I do. It’s always changing, my reasons for why I write any given post are always different.
The point of writing this post is to say: It smells like bacon here. That is not a complaint.
*Pudding is Dawg’s ex, mother of The Wolves. I know, it’s hard to keep up. It gets easier if you live it. :winks:
it’s one of those things… you just odn’t get it until you do it…
Bacon is a darn good smell.
Mmmm.
Pudding is a funny, funny nickname!
Some people “get” blogging and some people don’t. I DO complain sometimes on my blog, but I write a lot of other things as well.
I totally LOVE bacon! Another no-no on the diet.
Okay, if Pudding is Dawg’s ex, is she the PuppyMonster’s mom? Are any of the wolves Dawg’s, too? Just trying to keep up….. :pfft:
J.
I totally got that the point was about bacon…you didn’t have to spell it out for me. Wasn’t it obvious to everyone? :grins:
I don’t like it when I’m asked why I blog because I don’t know the answer either. Maybe we should answer with something that makes no sense so they’ll be left trying to figure it out for awhile (not Pudding, but people you don’t care about, lol)
Like, “Umm…I guess the main reason I blog is because I really love animals.”
:laughs: :laughs: :laughs:
I don’t think she would get the blogging thing…
But bacon is good!
did you ask her why she watches tv or why she goes to the park or why she goes bowling or why she knits or whatever the hell she does? “because i like to” is a fine answer. oh do i appreciate the “i just like to” answer! but honestly, it feels good to blog. when you are happy, people keep you up. when you are sad, they help pick you up. when you need to vent, others listen and by simply agreeing they take away the frustrations…and pick you up! hehe
i love blogging. me addicted.
Bacon is the best meat ever. It’s always good for a blog post or two.
What ‘narfy said. :smiles:
I love pepper encrusted bacon wrapped around filet Mignon.
My standard, “Why do you blog?” answer is, “It’s my creative and therapeutic outlet.”
The standard answer to that is, “Ahhhhhhhhhh.” Like “I got it.”
Tori, so true, soooooo true.
Sybil, I haven’t actually asked Dawg yet why her name is Pudding… but I know he orders pudding for The Wolves, so I’m guessing it’s because she likes pudding? Maybe I should just randomly ask her if she likes pudding. :smiles:
J, yes, Pudding is Puppy’s mom.
BB, I generally reserve my redonk answers for kids. (Really. Because it makes them laugh.) But I think next time I will say something like “blogging is a very personal decision and generally stems from needing to put your words out into the world.”
Maman, I think she’d just be a very different type of blogger. And, who doesn’t love bacon?!
Hola and Sour, I was confused by your comment at first, and then I realized that you were perhaps being defensive about her question…? If you had heard her tone of wonderment I think it would have been easier to know there was no harm, no foul. She’s more of a verbalizer so I think it’s just weird to her that someone would sit down and type out words to express thoughts. And… I’m very curious about her, so I probably would ask her all those questions. I’ve never been in a relationship with someone who has an ex, let alone an ex who is still a very good friend that we go visit and hang out with and have an awesome time with. It’s a very unique situation, and I love it just the way it is. :smiles:
Delmer, I prefer bacon in mah belleh. :grins:
Lisa, mmmmmmmmm, that sounds soooooooo good. And that is a PERFECT answer to the question.
Look, I came here for complaints. And you screwed up. Not *one* complaint here!
Potsy, I’m putting you *on report*!
You are officially being named Wahdonk.
Bacon is life.
I get the whole ‘why’ thing–I think people are skittish because they just don’t have anything to make a comparison with.
Turn, bacon is beautiful. And… I said it was similar to writing memoirs. Those are journals that everybody sees, the closest you’ll get to blogging.
