This was circulated around my office today. On paper. So we couldn’t click the link.
Because I’m nice, I’ll give you the link to the FBI *and* to Snopes: FBI | Snopes
Notice anything? This scam is from June 2006. It’s June 2008. Why the hell are we circulating this now? Because the administrative assistant was bored! That’s why.

What kind of administrative assistant takes the time to print something out but doesn’t notice or take the time to change the date? :smiles:
Sounds like your printing queue takes forever to process.
:winks:
It is so annoying whenever secretaries try to play virus expert by sending emails to a distro list or by distributing pamphlets to employees. Sound to me she needs more work to do. I would ask her to three hole punch a stack of printed emails. Or call her up every day and use a deep voice and claim you are Carl and ask her wtf didn’t she show up for jury duty.
See, this is why you shouldn’t register to vote so you don’t get jury duty. Except in NJ- you get registered for Jury Duty when you get your license (and I am registered to vote, so there goes that)
Oh, I get those alerts from members of my family. They tell me all the news fit for the discerning paranoid.
The latest update that I got from three separate relatives is about the evils of compact fluorescent bulbs.
MsBatman, she knows not what she does.
Mikey, wow, someone who waits 2 years for a print job is a saint!
Pat, if our police force wasn’t VERY serious about prosecuting harassing callers I’d TOTALLY punk her about the jury duty thing. :winks:
Sparky, damn… I intentionally registered to vote like a day after my 18th birthday. Silly me.
Maman, those bulbs are out to kill you!
I love the way your eye is peeking around the paper like, “*GASP*” ROFL!!!
so they’ve gone back to printed chain letters? that is sooooo 1990.
While I think it’s a little old I did a quick Google and requested it to give me anything in the last 60 days and this is what I found which is 13 days old.

It may be old but it looks like they are striking again.
