No Cookie Eating

So for those of you who don’t know… my poor Poppy had her flight delayed last night when trying to get from Chicago to her meeting of the minds that she is attending this weekend. Due to their inexcusable crass lateness… and fucked up habit of playing “Mary Has A Little Lamb” over the public address system… she will undoubtedly oversleep this morning, probably not have time to blog, and possibly end up missing breakfast.

Have you ever had breakfast with Poppy? Well this is what its like for those of you who may not know what to expect…

Yeah. Don’t be all jealous now… but I get to eat the cookies.

Literally.

And they are awesome.

  1. I love Denny’s. I wish they’d bring back the Breakfast Dagwood.

You know I’m thinking someone should create a video challenge. You come up with topics, themes, imagery and you have to make a video containing them (like what Abs did). All we need is the list of elements the video must contain or reference.

So your video was an unconscious entry into the contest, and the elements were

    - A correctional facility
    - Blogography t-shirt
    - making cookies
    - special powers of hats
    - food you eat with a topping

  2. Whall- Funny thing is that in New York, Denny’s is considered lower than a hole in the wall establishment. In Vermont… it’s like a 4 star dining experience… and honestly… compared to the New York ones it definitely is. The video contest idea is intriguing… I’ll have to think deeply about that.

Karl- Yes, very high in sugar content… but if you have never had it… I highly suggest sampling it at least once… just keep the insulin auto-injector in hand.

  3. Those pancakes looked good. Now I’m really hungry! Loved the video, it totally reminds me of many videos that me and my friends took when we were just hanging out.

Denny’s is definitely not one of my favourites, but I have to admit, now I’m really wanting to go to a diner now to have some breakfast. LOL

  4. I am choosing to be late going back to my conference so that I can say: This is precisely why I    you.

  5. Awwwww –when I was stuck without internet access at my stooopid conference yesterday Fabby got my post up for me !

  6. Yoshi- Luckily the 50+ VHS tapes from my youth corroded with age… or you could watch my friends and I just sit around and go to drive-thrus for kicks. Real exciting stuff. Breakfast for dinner is definitely the way to go!

Poppy- Ack! You’re late! Well… it is only the first day.
     Glad you liked it.

Turnbaby- Wait. Those were Fab’s feet yesterday? Oh. :ill:

  7. And now that I am awake from my nap: That video rocks SO hard. I love everything about it. I giggled my head off at the CW fakeout, hehehehe.    And I have something to show for the cookies comment. Will upload it later. :grins:

  9. Maman- You and me both! She was trapped in an airport and couldn’t get me a single slice of pizza! Not that Chicago pizza is better than New York’s… because everyone knows it isn’t… but still! They forced her to eat french fries for dinner!!! She left France for a reason!!!

Poppy- Yeah… I nuked the cereal girl… and to hell with the watchers on YouTube… its not in the CW channel… so they need to get over it.

  10. Aw, Dawg, your accent makes me miss New York and Boston. Sigh.
    Also, I loved the video!
You guys are sweeter than maple syrup.

  11. Dawg, oops, I meant your cookie comment in this post, not the hater comments at YT. I have a pic of my cookies from yesterday. :smiles:

Sybil, Dawg does not have an accent. :shh:

Hello, I listed it on my relationship resume as a special skill: Able to laugh and eat simultaneously.

  12. Dawg – Stuffed pizza is an entirely different animal then NY pizza. So we can enjoy them both without guilt. :grins:
