I just returned from playing Guitar Hero 3.

I have a new addiction.

And I totally convinced Break Boy to hold a holiday party in the new data center so we can play GH3 on the 47″ plasma screens.

  5. It’s exactly like DDR, except with your hands which somehow makes the world of difference for me. I can barely get 1 step right in DDR but for Barracuda I got 86 notes right in a row.

    I need to work on my middle finger. Every time I have to hit the red button my brain goes “AAAAH, FREAKOUT” and can’t figure out how to play a yellow or green after.

    I don’t know what’ll happen when I add blue and orangey-brown…

  8. While we were at my dad & step-mom’s this weekend, DH picked up the new wireless guitar from GameStop for like $40. I just got finished playing bass for 3 songs while he played lead, and it was the hardest fucking thing ever! But fun…

  12. I have never played, but I am more intrigued than ever. I keep hearing about it everywhere! (OK, by “everywhere,” I mean two other blogs and now yours, but still.)

  13. And there’s plenty of Guitar Hero action in Austin when (right?) you visit. Guitar Hero 1, Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero rocks the 80′s, Guitar Hero 3, and you can choose PS2, XBOX360 or Wii!

    And we might even have Rock Band by the time you ever make it over here again.

    Oh, and since Activision and Blizzard are merged now, does that mean World of GuitarCraft is coming?

    There’ll be at least a whole new level of geek speak: “I’m a level 75 Mage who got 5 stars on FreeBird!”

  16. Guitar Hero 2 has Freebird as the final song on the final set. Very difficult during the solo. I can barely make 3 stars on it.
