    I would go with “I’ve been eating ice cream since 1971″. ;-) Yes, I iz old.

    And Google says since I was a kid.

    “I have been eating ice cream since I am a kid.” Makes no sense, see? Unless you are a kid.

    I think Cultured Wannabes say it how European languages are constructed. And they sound stupid.

    Most recently noticed on The Real Housewives of NY Reunion.

    But I see what you mean, because I could totally see some people say:

    “Je mange de la crème glacée depuis que je suis enfant”.

    But to me that sounds like you’re still a kid.

    A is gramatically correct.

    B could be, if there were a properly-placed comma.

    When I first read “comma” I read it as “coma” which fit in nicely with the general Zombie Theme.

    Both are true, and the answer to “why” is that you like ice cream. My favorite is banana pudding flavored. What’s yours? I like big spoons. One time I had a big spoon and I ate all the ice creamm all at once and I got a big headache and Billy said my head would explode if that happened but Suzie said ignore him because he’s a big doodyhead. Or is it he *was* a big doodyhead?
