We’ve got everything down to a science.

Yesterday I didn’t want to kill anyone. That was a much better day right there. I blame wearing jeans and my new boots for a better mood. When I got to work my boss who never wears jeans was wearing jeans and the guy who lives in Pennsylvania was wearing jeans and the Mac guru was wearing jeans and the rad woman in accounting who took me under her wing was wearing jeans. It’s like we got a memo but subconsciously.

It also helped that as soon as I went into the 7 Ave tunnel an E train with a seat for me arrived, then as soon as I arrived to my J train transfer a train was waiting for me with a seat (I refused it) to take me the one final stop home.

Some of you suggested the weather is partially at fault for my mood. I know the weather sucks everywhere else on the planet, but aside from a little chill the weather hasn’t seemed bad to me. In fact, I’m pretty effing psyched that there has been NO snow here yet. I really do just get royally fucked up in the head during the midway mark of week three of my four week pill pack. I mean, psychotic. I mean, seriously horrible mood swings. It’s pretty easy to anger me. But today I’m fine again. So peculiar.

I just bought a bunch of sweaters and shirts online to supplement my winter wardrobe. I hate being cold, and the excess air conditioning from the server room pipes out directly over my desk at work so I’m cold allllllllllllll day unless I stay bundled up. Plus, the more skin I can cover the better. The IT department is 8 people strong, and I’m the only woman. You do the math.

I never got to showcase this, but Jen made me a shuttle ornament because I loved the dog one she made so much. Here I am enjoying it:

I love my ornament.

I finally put podcasts on my iPod so that I’ll listen to intelligent stuff on the train. Tech stuff, food stuff, music stuff, movie stuff. That’s me in a nutshell, really.

    I love the J train.

Because it goes so fast over the Williamsburg Bridge. As opposed to driving. Which took us at least 15 minutes earlier today. Blech.

I tried to think of something smart to say about what you wrote, but I got nothing. I will point out, however, that you have a tendency of looking younger than you allegedly are in most of your posts.

(Huh – I guess that’s one more for my pattern…)

  3. Sarah Says:

That little ornament is so cute!

  4. Chris Says:

I love your shirt. I’m going to have that inked onto my forehead in bold. :loser:

  5. Avitable Says:

    The weather’s nice here!

    /ducks

  6. Iron Fist Says:

    Psst. I’m wearing jeans today.

  7. Sybil Law Says:

Jeans and boots – I get that completely! And the weather here is still nice, but won’t be as of tomorrow, which almost makes me want to cry. I am cold all the time, too – just naturally cold all the time. So when the tempertaure goes below 50, I freeze and my hands are cold no matter what – that makes me pretty miserable!

  8. Twinkie's Subconcious Says:

I break out in hives when I get too cold. Oh, and my lips swell up.

I guess it’s a good thing I live in Central California, where today it’s expected to be 67 but feels more like mid 70′s.

And guess what???? I’m wearing jeans and boots TOO!!!

  9. Maman Says:

Well, weather seemed a reasonable answer.. although I will admit to have those psychotic episodes too…

  10. Lisa Says:

The gray skies here are KILLING me. If I don’t see the sun soon I’m going to scream.

I hope you feel better soon.

  11. Jen Says:

You are so freaking cute! I’m glad you like the ornament. :)

BEE-bzzt, I love the new J trains that tell you on the board what all the stops are and what the transfers are at those stops, and how many stops until your stop. That’s rad.

Creature, I assure you, I remember being every age from 3 to 34, so at the very least I am 31. My brother is 6 years older and there is photographic evidence of this. I am pretty sure I’m as old as I say, but in spirit I am a teenager.

Sarah, yes it is. Jen is an amazing artist.

Chris, maybe you could put it on your arm instead. The forehead is waaaay hardcore.

Avi, the weather’s nice here if you want to wear 12 layers and drink hot beverages all the time! So much for leaving the cold behind…

    Vahid, me too!!

Sybil, I loooooove wearing jeans and boots.

Twinkerbelle, that is so weird! Maybe I am breaking out in acne because of the cold.

Maman, I really think it’s PMS and diet related. I think Dawg might agree too. Poor guy.

Lisa, I didn’t see the sunshine today. :(

Jen, thank you again for that ornament, I love it to tiny pieces!!!
