Today is Ripley’s birthday. Being the AWESOME kitty mama that I am, I totally forgot and Catster had to remind me. I did remember twice before it was her birthday…
…but now it’s her birthday and Dawg has to work until Saturday morning between his regular work shifts and his special out of the country event shifts.
I just conferred with Dawg and we’ll be celebrating her birthday on Sunday, our next opportunity to be together as a family in a wakeful state.
Ripley gets tons of love every day, but I still feel bad for forgetting the arbitrary date I chose to symbolize the date of her birth which I’m not certain of because I got her as a stray from the humane society. Anyway, here are a few photos of Rips the very first day I took her home with me. She was 5 months old and 5 lbs, 5 oz. :} (She’s now exactly double that size.)

Ripley is adorable.
Do you know what breed she is? My first guess would be Maine Coon, but I dunno…she has the big expressive eyes of a Rag, like our boy Syd.

your baby girl is gorgeous. i wanna kiss her sweet little face. but since she doesn’t know me, i doubt she would appreciate that. instead i will simply say, happy birthday, ripley! thanks for making the wonderful poppy happy.
(although if you even so much as strike through the suck at life thing again i might sorta have to slap you. :) )

BEE-bzzt, the vet calls her a domestic long hair, but she’s clearly a calico and her personality is classic Maine Coon.
Hola, she makes the darkest day seem brighter. Plus she understands it’s her birthday so she’s been dancing around ever since I told her I finally remembered her birthday.

I know there’s some slim pickings at this point, but I was thinking about how short-staffed IT was (and how much of a pain in the ASS it is to get things done because of this…) and thought about you needing a job like yesterday, and I figured I would ask.
