It’s me!
Stuff and things from Poppy Cede on Vimeo.
A few things about this video:
1. B is Bdogg from Jumping on the Bandwagon.
2. Jen is Jen from For the Birds.
3. I’m an idiot, and misinterpreted the patch thing — only the sticker has to do with Expedition 11, the cloth patch has to do with STS-124. I am not the brightest bulb when I first wake up.
4. I apologize for showing you my (clothed) ass and my panty line.
5. I also apologize for the darkness of my face. I had all the lights on in the basement for this video, but — IT’S A BASEMENT.
6. I took the footage for this video between 8:47am and 8:58am. I then had to get it from my camera to the Windows 74 computer and run it through Sony Vegas to get it from an 833MB Quicktime Movie file to a 237MB Windows Media file, which finished at 9:41am. I then had to spend 10 minutes upstair doing a small job for Dawg’s dad but returned to upload the video to Vimeo which finished at 12:28pm. (See why we need a new computer? Yah.) And then Vimeo told me there was a long line of videos and that it would take at least an hour to finish processing my video. *siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* … And now it’s 1:35pm and it’s finally done! Yippy!
7. The bracelet Jen made me:

8. The shirts B gave me:

9. The packaging and card from B:

10. Yes, I really do wear Winnie-the-Pooh PJ bottoms when I feel like it.

Cute, cute poppy.
And I thought you said 2 weeks - was that your last trip to France? I am so confused!
Sybil, thanks for the trigger. I was in VT for the August 10 weekend because there was a party for my brother. And then this past weekend I was there for EZA’s party.
In your opinion, is vimeo worth switching to from youtube? Or does one publish to multiple places?
PS: I feel the video conversion heartache… Sometimes it’s smooth and sometimes it’s so difficult.
Wah, I enjoy the quality of Vimeo, and my camera makes ridiculously large video files. Even when converted down they are too big for YouTube, so Vimeo’s 500MB/week quota appeals when I have a 237MB video file.
I like Vimeo. Youtube will handle bigger files, too, though - when you go to upload, it has an option on the right for files over 100MB. I’m uploading a 640MB one right now.
Avi, you expect me to READ things? Next you’ll tell me they removed the monthly quota from flickr pro accounts!!!!! (…which, they totally did, and I only know cuz Dawg asked me. I’ll read for other people, just not for me.)
Peeee Ess — Did you actually watch the video or just read the comments?
I watched the video but then read the comments and forgot what I was going to comment, so decided to comment on the uploading part.
So, did you notice you’re only 3 comments away from a milestone? I’ve been keeping track.
No!
Holy shit! You’re right!
When I reach 1000, maybe I should stop commenting forever.
You’ve just gotta be tired of packing and moving by now!
With everything in flux, you’re right … it’s a good thing right now that you DON’T have a job.
I did see one of your kitties behind you early in the clip.
Have a fun, fun birthday! (I didn’t know. I’m sorry.)
Look!
It’s Murray!!!
J’aime l’histoire de Madeleine! J’ai la toujours lu de mes filles quand elles etais plus jeune. Je mémorisé tous l’ensemble le texte pour les filles peuvent regarder les dessins tout le temps.
quand elles étaient plus jeunes…
somestimes French grammar makes my head hurt
Dear Avi, you’re a dork. And you could never stop commenting on my blog. You think I’m awesome.
Mattie, yes, that was Ripley. I didn’t know what you could see of the room until I was done with the video.
Dawg, we should get that card framed.
Maman, j’aime aussi l’histoire de Madeleine.
Clearly I’m a dork too. Wheee!
You are so cute! Glad you got the package and I hope you like the kitty bracelet.
I hope that you will feel safe to look around at your surroundings soon, because I am sure there is so much to see.
I love grocery shopping! Woo-hoo!
