He mushes me out daily, but today is an extra mush. He’s currently home under his orange afghan trying to get some rest before the plague consumes him completely while I’m here in my apartment losing my voice and finding mystery boxes in my magical bathroom.
I love that man…

Awesome indeed. That was very sweet.
Also, I enjoyed how you explained to us how microwaveable soup works. :-)

You just made me do my giggly laugh. Yah, I’m nothing if not helpful. Remember the time I showed everyone how to open a milkweed pod? Or the time I showed everyone what a snake skin looks like? Or the time I showed everyone how to make a snapdragon go “rawr”? Yup, that’s me — helpful!

That’s so sweet, I can barely get my boyfriend to go to the grocery store when I’m sick, and that doesn’t involve going to the post office to get it to me
March 27th, 2008 at 10:19 pm
awwwwwwww
and healthy wishes to you both
Pee Ess…Does he know you have his cap?
LOVE that cap!

Amanda, just to be perfectly clear, Dawg does not do post office. He is self proclaimed lazy, which is why all of my gifts (they were all gifts) were from Amazon or other online vendors. Even the soup.
That doesn’t lessen the thought for me. He still took the time to think of giving me soup, ordering the soup, adding a sweet message to the order, and purchasing the soup, despite having the busiest schedule of any human being I interact with on a regular basis.

Tug, he bought that hat for me.
I have a red one and a muted green one. He has the same colors, but a B hat (yep, Boston). We live dangerously.
And thanks for the healthy wishes. I will be feeding him soup tomorrow night, assuming he can stay conscious long enough to drive here.

GO SPANKS!! (um Poppy, that’s the YANKEES)
but um…yeah. Have fun this weekend too!
March 27th, 2008 at 10:30 pm
Tug, go Sox!
I see lots of valium, alcohol, soup, and rest in Dawg’s and my weekend future. Oh, and you just reminded me to buy more Kleenex. Thanks!

Best. Boyfriend. Ever.
So, you say he has a single brother, huh?
March 28th, 2008 at 9:13 am
Turnbaby, yah.
Mel, he does have a single brother, but I’m not sure if they’re very much alike. Dawg might be a better judge of that.

I just hope you saved me some…
March 28th, 2008 at 10:17 am
Of course.

My youngest daughter sounds almost exactly like you this week. Poor, poor sickies.

I’m late, but what else is new? I hope that both of you are feeling better by now.
I’ll tell you, honestly, as long as you both continue to give to each other this way, it will last. I promise you that.
We will celebrate our 30th anniversary this Tuesday, April Fool’s Day. My husband still brings me flowers, and gives me things he knows I’ll enjoy. It’s not always expensive stuff, that’s not the point. It’s about giving part of yourself to the one you love — your heart and soul, along with 12 microwavable soups. That’s what it’s all about.
I’m not that great at expressing myself, especially about something as special as this. I just know that I wish that I could hug my husband until we’re one — not the sexual way (although, that is ALWAYS a good thing). It’s just that as time goes on, the love becomes much more profound.
Enjoy each other. Don’t let it slip away.
I can’t wait to meet you both at TequilaCon! You’re both very special people.

Kris, I sound like a kid, right? Yah…
Geeky, awwwwwwwwww, you almost made me cry with that comment. Thank you for that. I have every intention of holding up my end of the deal on this, and I’m more than certain Dawg does too. I can’t wait to meet you at TC!!!
