Well, that was a nice little blogcation.
(And by nice I mean FANFUCKINGTASTIC, but who’s counting?)
Some highlights:
I made 3 batches of cookies.
I cleaned all my dishes again with that fantastic dish soap.
I did laundry.
I made my bed.
I watched part of Brooklyn Rules and hated it so probably won’t finish it.
I took a nap.
Ummmm… hmm. I think I might be forgetting something.
(blink blink)
Oh, yup! I hung out with Dawg! (*giggle*)
In case you didn’t notice already, that man makes me stupid in a good way.
Anyway, here are some highlights from our time together, cuz you all just aren’t sick of us yet, right? (yah, you totally are, but too bad) :

Dawg also took an entire series of hotel photos and we took hilarious and sweet photos of us in front of the mirrors, but I think I’ll let him decide if he wants to post those.
I’d also like to add, since it will annoy him that I say this: That man works harder than anyone I know. He worked a full day in the city then drove to me in a snowstorm so we could go vacation together, then he was actually on duty all weekend so kept getting calls from (stupid) people who didn’t know how to handle shit, and Dawg handled it effortlessly no matter when — middle of the night, first thing in the morning, while he was writing his Sunday post, while we watched a movie (more on that later). He is amazing at coordinating and troubleshooting and changing the plan when shit hits the fan and calming people down and saying sorry even when things are not his fault to say he’s sorry. I am in awe of him. And right this minute he is on his way back to the city to go to a work meeting tonight. And now you know why it is the ultimate in irony that he ever says he’s lazy.
/gush off (for a minute, maybe)

(((HUGS))) I love you guys. You’re so cute together. And let me just say I didn’t realize Dawg had such a big head of hair on him (since it’s always under a cap). Both your meals looked scrumptious and I’m glad your weekend rocked.

Thanks, Sour.
He tried to get a haircut before coming up but he was too busy being NOT LAZY (as in, working all kinds of crazy hours). The food was incredible, as was the company.

Very nice… But puleaze, never tell us about his tongue again, even tongue in cheeck (LOL). I feel like I am listening to my brother talk about sex. EWWWWWW!
February 24th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
Abs, there’s no way I can promise to never mention his tongue again. I’m quite fond of it.

Can’t you make the man get a haircut???
February 25th, 2008 at 12:08 am
Crys, lots more happy where that came from. Whee!!!!!
Miss Ann, can’t find but my guess is: cut up a red onion then steam it a lil then batter it with beer plus fish batter then leave it greasy. NOM NOM NOM.
Avi, as previously stated to Sour, he was going to get it cut but he was busy working. Besides, I love his hair, so

Awwww, you cooked FOR eachother? That’s SO mushy… and so cool!!!
Gotta love a man that can cook!
February 25th, 2008 at 6:19 am
Now if only you would post pictures of the two of you, together. How do we know this isn’t just a scam and you were in France and he was in NYC and you just pretended that you were together? I’m just saying…

Me likey the steak. Sat night I did some experimentation with chicken fried steak and it was pretty good – I usually do just some flour w/onion salt, garlic salt and lowry’s, but this time I did more of a batter
- 1 egg
- 1.5 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tap baking soda
- lawry’s
- 1 tsp onion salt
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- pinch of peppter
- 1/2 tsp salt
Then take the steak, coat w/flour, then put through batter, then back to flour until dry to touch.
Fry up in deep crisco and you’re tasty-good….
Abs, next time you come down, if you want some we’ll hook you up.
Congrats Poppy on your great weekend!

DB, well… while Dawg was handling some business I did use the hotel phone to call room service. Past that, no… we didn’t cook for each other. But, rest assured I have cooked things for him and he will cook (ok, bake and grill) things for me in the future.
Mattie, if doG wills it.
Wah, why you gotta make me hungry first thing in the morning!? I’ve (gasp) never actually had chicken fried steak, unless you count a bit of chicken fried cube steak. And thanks for the congrats, although I am not sure two people hanging out and goofing off deserves any sort of congratulations.

The food looks awesome! It’s making me hungry!
I agree with the other commenter, I had no idea Dawg had that much hair on his head! You guys are adorable! :D
February 25th, 2008 at 11:41 am
The other B, (sorry, “B” is taken by my bestest friend Bdogg) he very rarely takes off his hat, but always for meals, and always for me.
(But he is adorable in hats.)
DAMMIT. I swear I must be annoying with all the gush.
February 25th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
I am not going to ask about other times he might take his hat off…
But awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it is all so cute and sweet and awesome!
And yummy looking food.
I so want some steak now.
February 26th, 2008 at 9:38 am
I can use The Other B and he does look good in hats! :D You have the right to be mushy!
February 26th, 2008 at 9:55 am
Sybil, I’m always hungry for steak. And, there’s nothing dirty about when he takes off his hat for me.
TOB, awesomeness. Now you get a cool nickname! Good thing I have the right to be mushy, cuz he mushes me out daily.
