Sour, you lucky lucky lucky person. Sigh. I get stuck going to Tina Turner and you’re going to see Paula. (Ok, ok, so I’ve seen a lot of people I LOVED seeing in concert too, but not so much with the crazy.)
the108, hi! Yep, I loved dancing around to Forever Your Girl…
I can’t stand Paula. I read this article in Mix magazine about her years ago (hello – I lived in Boston with a houseful of musicians!), and basically the guy was saying how hard it was to make her sound as good as she did. That means she sounded way, waaay worse without all the mixing and dubbing. And she still can’t sing! That is scary!
But yes – her craziness is entertaining, I will grant you that!
But I also saw Tina Turner and she rocked!
Oh, no! You misunderstood… I meant I’ve seen her TELEVISION show a few times. I’d never spend money to go see her in concert. I mean, I liked some of her tunes as a kid but I saved my money back then for goooood bands like Alice Cooper.
Sybil, when you’re 10 and forced to see Tina it’s not so fun. I have loved every single other concert I’ve ever been to because I chose to go. The best part about Tina? Wang Chung opened for her and that was my first time feeling bass in my lungs… such an amaaaaaaazing feeling.

Is it a size thing with entertainers???
The smaller you are the crazier you must be???

I’ve caught her show a couple times and her loony-ness is astounding. She’s so weird it spooks me a little.

Oh, man… she was such awesome shit when I was a kid. I used to dance in the basement and totally get down pretending I was her.
