Add commentsI found this star game over at Wayne’s site and I am now slightly addicted to it.
Thankfully, I have already figured out a bunch of the levels so that I can perhaps pace myself throughout the next 100 years it will take me to figure out the ones I didn’t figure out in 5 seconds. That one on the top row, fifth from the left, with the girls turning? It’s pissing me off just a teeny tiny little.

I found that over on Jester’s site last week. Took me 30 minutes to do all of them. :P
The girls one is very simple once you figure it out.

I can get the first girl to turn but not the others. The first time I got her to turn I was about to give up and then she bopped her butt around. I am not convinced I understand what I’m doing to get her to turn.

Pretend your mouse is the wind.
January 3rd, 2008 at 10:23 am
I have been swirling my cursor around in circles for what seems like hours every time I visit that game and I can only get the first girl to turn. I think it might be a combination of my lack of patience and lack of hovering over the correct sweet spots? I dunno.

What are you doing to me? I can’t be exposed to stuff like this, I have a book to finish, dammit!

But I read blogs, respond to comments, answer emails, do sculpey, update Facebook, and text like a freak while I am working. I am stretched to the limit!

Your thumb is injured. Give it a rest from texting and do this instead. :)
January 3rd, 2008 at 10:55 am
I really should stop texting. It’s not allowing the thumb to heal.
January 3rd, 2008 at 10:57 am
Who do you need to text all day long anyway?!
(Wait, … it’s Avi, isn’t it.)
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:04 am
Hardly! He mocks my texting!
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:10 am
Texting is for losers and nerds!
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:10 am
Well, I know it’s not me so you should be able to give it up very easily until that thumb heals.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:11 am
Oh, Avi, you just have texting envy.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:13 am
I have many associates, you know!
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:16 am
Send out a mass text that says: “Texting temporarily haulted due to thumb injury. Will recommence texting at Thumb’s earliest possible convenience. USE EMAIL. Kisses, Fab.”
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:16 am
Except spell “halted” correctly.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:17 am
The people would revolt. Texts from me are the only thing that keep some of these poor souls from slitting their throats.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:19 am
You cannot save the world, you can only save your thumb. People who can’t get through a day without a text message need medical assistance.

Thumb Wars! Thumb Wars! Thumb Wars!
And like Avi I found it at Jester’s too. Me likey the site.
I’ve decided to let my 13yr old have a go at it to see how “outside the box” she can think. She’s pretty good at that stuff already, so I think it’s awesome for increasing brainpower in kids.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:45 am
Did you get farther? I know Avi did them ALLLLL but I’m having trouble with stage 50 (3rd row, 3rd column) and don’t have any clue at all what I’m doing. I moved the moon! But, that didn’t seem to do a damn thing.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:47 am
Did you move the moon and the other pieces so that the star had a second to be noticed?
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:49 am
I thought I did! Argh. Clearly not.
January 3rd, 2008 at 11:51 am
Now I have. Dammit.
January 3rd, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Popster, form a vertical line that runs straight down the middle of the third girl (on the right) and move the cursor up and down that line as fast as you can.
January 3rd, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Too. Much. Time.
January 3rd, 2008 at 12:19 pm
ACW, someone told me how to do that one. Sigh. I would get these all eventually if I stopped telling people I can’t get them.
Dawg, agreed.

I will not click… I will NOT click… I will not… oh, damn you, Poppy.
Happy New Year! May all your dreams come true in ’08!
January 3rd, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Admit it, Sue, you are loving the stars game.
And thanks for the 2008 wishes, right back atcha!
January 3rd, 2008 at 12:54 pm
ok, first Guitar Hero, now this.
Thankfully, This took me about 20 minutes to finish.
And that is not me playing Guitar Hero, but everyone I know thinks it is.
January 3rd, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Mikey, I’ve seen that video before. That’s TOTALLY you.
It took you 20 minutes to do all the stars? I hate you a little.
January 3rd, 2008 at 1:59 pm
I was reading Avi today, about his tips for blogging365, and maybe my once a week recurrent theme should be “People who look like me, but are not me”. I already have a few of those pictures…
I promise I’ll make my own GH3 video soon. Then you could see the real me.
And BTW, thanks for the NY wishes! Right back at you!
January 3rd, 2008 at 2:08 pm
Awww, you sweetie. Thank you.
January 3rd, 2008 at 10:14 pm
Damn you, Poppy. There goes an hour and a half of my life. :-(

whew… done
January 4th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Tori, congrats! I finished, but I had to ask for 3 teeny tiny small hints so my brain didn’t burst, and with two of them I was already on the right track.
January 6th, 2008 at 4:07 am
Did you try the first round?

BPR, I did and I was going to post about it and the MILLION games that were up a level from this star game, but … I hate the first star game and I got caught up playing ZOOKEEPER.
