I am desperately trying to finish up I Am Legend by Richard Matheson before I go see the film of the same name, starring Will Smith, this weekend:
Despite the fact that Tom Cruise keeps trying to help Will promote the movie, I definitely recommend going to check out this film.

Ooh, I’m reading that book, too! Haven’t gotten very far, though, because I’m reading a book from the library that has to go back soon. DH read it and said that the movie looks pretty different from how the book is written, so I’m intrigued…

Yes, it’s very different. The book was written in in 1954, set in a “future” 1976 and it definitely wasn’t in NYC and Robert Neville was far, far, far from Will Smith.
The Hollywood version is not going to compare, but I still need to read the story first. Must.

I love this book. Are you surprised?
Also, What Dreams May Come is also pretty good.

I want to see this movie! The question is whether I’ll get to it while it’s still in the theater or by the time it hits DVD.

ACW, no, I am not surprised. I hope you blog about it.
Sour, one word: théatre.

I’ve never even heard of this book! Am I living under a rock or something?!
I must get it now.

I really doubt you’re living under a rock, considering your ferocity for devouring books. This book was published in 1954 and is just now being made into a movie.
